Product groups for quotations (expandable & selectable in one go)

As a user of Bouwportaal, I want to be able to create product groups (e.g., "Finishing") myself, so that I can logically bundle multiple products and services and add them easily and accurately to a quote or estimate.

The user wants to be able to create product groups (such as Finishing, Structural Work, Installation Work), to which multiple products and/or services are linked, including cost price and sales price.

When preparing a quotation, the user can:

• use the magnifying glass (product selection) to select individual products,

• but also view and expand product groups,

• select one or more lines from a product group,

• or add the entire product group to the quotation/budget in one go.

Purpose & value

• Prevents parts from being forgotten when drawing up quotations.

• Ensures faster and more consistent quoting, especially for recurring work.

• Makes quotations clearer and more professional.

• Supports a standardized working method within the company.

Desired functionality:

Product groups can be freely created and managed by the user.

Each product group contains:

• multiple products/services.

• each with its own cost price and sales price.

In the quotation selection:

Product groups can be expanded.

Rules can be added individually or the entire product group can be added in a single action.

Added lines appear as separate quotation lines so that they can still be edited.

Example

A user creates the product group "Finishing" containing, among other things:

• Installing drywall

• Finishing walls

• Ceiling finishing

When creating a quote, the user can also choose to select only "Ceiling finishing" or add the entire Finishing product group with a single click.
